Understand Restaurly license messages
Use the message or heading you can see. Technical codes are included only so search and Support references find the same guidance.
Applies to: supported desktop platforms, account holder, and administrator.

| Restaurly - Login / no activated license | This PC has no installed license (LICENSE_MISSING). | Sign in and activate this PC. |
| No activation is ready for this PC | The account needs selected eligible Free trial access or an active paid plan with a spot. | Follow activation troubleshooting; zero paid spots does not block selected Free trial. |
| License activation did not go according to plan | Sign-in, plan resolution, issuance, installation, or network work did not complete. | Reopen once, record the balance and message, then contact Support rather than repeatedly activating. |
| Protected storage is unavailable | Restaurly cannot safely encrypt the local license state (LICENSE_STATE_ENCRYPTION_UNAVAILABLE). On Linux this usually means Secret Service or KWallet is unavailable, locked, or Electron selected plaintext storage. | Unlock or configure the desktop keyring, reopen Restaurly, and contact Support if it continues. Do not activate repeatedly. |
| License reactivation required | The format is obsolete or matching protected state is missing (LICENSE_FORMAT_OBSOLETE, LICENSE_STATE_MISSING). | Use the guided reactivation. |

Do not “repair” a license message by changing the system clock, copying files from another PC, or deleting the installed certificate, key, or protected state. Those actions can make diagnosis harder and may consume another spot.
