Understand activation spots
Your account keeps paid activation spots separate from opportunities to use the Free trial. Neither number is a limit on mobile devices or staff accounts.
Applies to: account holder and PC administrator.
When the balance changes
- Activating a paid plan on a PC uses one paid spot. A purchase or successful renewal may add the spots included with that plan; check the current account details.
- Each account starts with one trial opportunity. Choosing the trial online leaves it available until the PC activation issues your first trial license.
- The first trial activation uses that opportunity and starts seven days. You can do this with zero paid spots.
- Recovering a still-valid trial on the same installation uses no extra opportunity or paid spot and keeps the original expiry.
- A Restaurly administrator can grant another trial opportunity. Ask Support if you need help; the new opportunity is for a later trial, not extra days or a second simultaneous trial.
Uninstalling, deleting files or cancelling paid access does not return a spot or restore a used trial. Another PC or a new operating-system installation also cannot take over the original trial.
The online account has no list of active PCs or button to release an activation. Contact Support before a move, or before buying another plan just to clear an activation message. Keep the existing license files intact.
If activation seems to have succeeded but the app does not start, note the message before trying again. A valid trial can be recovered on the same installation; a paid spot balance may need Support to check what happened.
