Understand privacy and restaurant data

Restaurant operational data is stored primarily on the Restaurly PC. Mobile devices use that local service during a shift instead of holding an independent restaurant database.

Applies to: PC, mobile, and administrator.

Activation and account services exchange the information required to validate the installation and license. Local diagnostic logs are structured and redacted, with short retention. Temporary mobile diagnostic mode does not record text fields or entered values.

Restaurly does not automatically upload a support bundle. An administrator chooses its contents, reviews consent, enters the current master password, and exports an encrypted file. Sensitive content should be included only when Support specifically asks for it.

Order notes and staff names are restaurant data. Enter only what the team needs for service, protect account PINs and the master password, and use approved private channels for backups or support material.

This guide explains product behavior, not a substitute for the published privacy notice or your restaurant's own legal obligations.
