Understand payments and history

Every confirmed checkout creates its own payment record with the waiter, selected quantities, currency, gross totals, and VAT breakdown preserved.

Applies to: PC and administrator.

A waiter can pay all completed work or select smaller quantities. Linked choices form one indivisible bundle. Rejected and deleted lines are never charged. When active orders remain, completed portions may still be paid and the table stays open.

Payment history does not reconstruct old totals from today's menu. Restaurly uses the immutable checkout snapshot, so later item, VAT, currency, waiter, or table edits do not rewrite the transaction.

If the customer-summary printer is enabled, confirmation also creates an immutable print job for that payment. Printing failure does not erase the payment.

warning

Before retrying an uncertain payment, refresh the table and history. Do not record a second payment until you know whether the first succeeded.
