Understand automatic backups
On every licensed PC start, Restaurly creates and validates a local snapshot before applying database migrations. The snapshot protects the database and its related images as one restorable set.
Applies to: PC and administrator.
Automatic snapshots include integrity information so corrupted or incomplete backup material can fail safely. Retention is approximately 400 days, with a 365-day minimum preservation floor.
No daily operator action is required, but automatic snapshots live on the same computer. They do not replace periodic manual exports stored on approved, separate media.

Do not edit or delete the backup directory to recover disk space during an incident. Contact support before changing recovery material.
