Understand POS category routing
The administrator chooses each POS station's category filter on the PC. The POS queue then receives only matching order items.
Applies to: mobile app and POS role.
An empty category filter means the station handles all categories. If two stations include the same category, both receive that work. That overlap is intentional fan-out, not a duplicate order.
The same routing controls the station's enabled kitchen tickets. A station with no matching items receives neither irrelevant queue items nor a blank ticket.
If routing is wrong, note one order identifier and affected item, then ask an administrator to correct the POS categories on the PC. Sign out and back in after the administrator confirms the change if the queue has not refreshed.
