Follow item statuses and notifications
Waiters see preparation changes made by the matching POS station. Status colors and icons help distinguish Created, In progress, Ready to take, Completed, Rejected, and Deleted work.
Applies to: mobile app and waiter role.
Keep the app connected during service so the order and table views can refresh when preparation changes. Ready to take means the station has finished its work and the item should be collected. Mark or treat an item as completed only after the restaurant's real hand-off step.
Rejected and deleted work remains visible as history but is not payable. Different items in the same order can progress independently when they are routed to different stations.
